Creating work for Education and Event Programmes in Museums

Are you interested in developing your practice by working with museums in arts education or event programming?


This panel event aims to shed light on the different ways that artists and creative practitioners can work with museums.


Drawing from their own experiences, the panel will explain the benefits of working with museums to develop and run programmes, as well as providing tips on how you can get your foot in the door. Topics for discussion will include:


- Why museums and institutions commission education and learning programmes

- What are the opportunities for students to progress as working artists in this burgeoning field are

- How best to put forward ideas to a museum if you aren’t already working with them

- What to consider if you are approached to collaborate


This event is delivered by Sophie Risner from the UAL Students’ Union, Arts SU.
