Designing a feminist internet: talk and networking

This talk explores how the web can spur on feminist movements and further women’s rights on a local and global level. It is relevant to anyone, male or female, seeking work in the creative tech sector, who has an interest in making it fairer for everyone.

Gender is a sign of power and identity (or lack of it). We need to talk about and challenge expectations surrounding gender and technology using the means we have. The internet has the potential to both reinforce and re-balance social inequalities, and is an increasingly important influence over our social, political, economic and cultural lives.

There will be time afterwards for Q&A and networking.

Speakers include:

- Hanna Naima McCloskey - Founder and CEO of Fearless Futures
- Gabby Edlin - Founder of Bloody Good Period

See full speaker profiles on our Speakers page.
