How to make it as a freelancer

Be your own boss. Work anywhere in the world. Choose your hours. Do something you love.

The rewards of freelancing are plentiful but it's not all plain sailing. Founder of The Freelancer Club and Freelance Academy, Matt Dowling, will give a talk on the secrets of running a successful freelance business, transitioning from student to freelancer, and what to expect from going it alone. UAL alumni will also talk about their freelancing experiences and take part in a Q&A panel discussion.

The Freelancer Club are also running an exclusive roundtable session immediately after the workshop. The 45-minute session will give 10 participants the chance to discuss their freelance ambitions, and gain invaluable insights into the industry.

Freelancers speaking at this event include:

- Damian Griffiths, Freelance Photographer (CSM Alumni, 2007)
- Zoe Tynan-Campbell, Freelance Art Practitioner & Educator, and Designer-maker (Camberwell Alumni, 2012)
