Starting out in the Art World

Looking for work in the arts after graduation can be an exciting time, and internships can provide brilliant opportunities to gain valuable workplace experience to add to your CV. Naturally though, you might have some anxieties about what to expect. How might a professional environment operate? In what ways will you need to adapt to working culture after University? And what does acting professional even entail?

Join Artquest and a panel of arts industry experts, as they unpick some of these questions with the help of art organisations that have provided recent UAL graduates with valuable paid opportunities to develop through the AWP Internship scheme since 2012. This talk will also provide further information on the AWP Internships available to 2018 graduates and how to apply.

The following panelists will be speaking at this event:

- Laura Hensser, Deputy Director of Gasworks

- Rosa Harvest, Deputy Manager of New Contemporaries

- Edward Gillman, Artistic Co-Director of Auto Italia South East

-  Teresa Drace Francis, General Manager at Iniva
